Introduction to the Report Scheduling Feature

Instead of manually generating the same report every day or week, you can schedule it to run automatically. This feature is perfect for:

  • Daily inventory updates for your team.

  • Weekly outbound order summaries for management.

  • Monthly stock movement reports for accounting.

Once set up, the report will be automatically generated and emailed to the recipients you specify.


Walkthrough: Setting Up a Scheduled Report

1. Select and Filter Your Report

Before you can schedule a report, you must first define its content.

  • Navigate to Report > New Report.

  • Choose the report you want to schedule from the dropdown menu.

  • Apply all necessary filters (e.g., Warehouse, Brand, SKUs) to ensure the report contains the exact data you need.

2. Enable the Scheduling Option

Once your report and filters are set, switch from a one-time generation to a recurring schedule.

  • Click the Scheduled Report toggle. This will open the scheduling configuration panel.

3. Configure the Schedule Details

Fill in the details to define when and how your report should be sent.

  • Name: Give your scheduled report a descriptive name.

  • Frequency: Choose how often it should run (e.g., Month, Week, Day) and specify the exact day and time for generation.

  • Recipients: Add internal Locad Users from the dropdown or type email addresses of external stakeholders into the Other Recipients field and click "Add".

4. Activate and Find Your Schedule

  • Click the Schedule button to save and activate your schedule.

  • To view and manage all your recurring reports, navigate to the Scheduled Reports tab in the left-hand menu. This page provides a complete overview of all the reports you have automated.

  1. Where can I find and manage my scheduled reports?
    Ans - All your active recurring reports are listed in the Report > Scheduled Reports tab. From there, you can view their frequency, recipients, and status.

  2. Can I send a scheduled report to someone who is not a Locad user?
    Ans - Yes. In the "Recipients" section during setup, you can enter any email address in the "Other Recipients (Email Address)" field. The report will be automatically emailed to them.

  3. Are my filters saved for the scheduled report?
    Ans - Yes. The schedule saves the report type and all the filters you applied. The report will run with these exact settings every time, ensuring consistent data.
