Introduction
The document covers the inbound SLA of Locad Singapore Warehouse. Please refer to this document for the latest guideline of sending your shipments to us. Do take note that Locad reserves the right to amend the guide from time to time to improve the experience of Locad clients.
ASN Submission
Advance shipping notice (ASN) should be submitted prior to shipping out your items from your origin warehouse. This ensures that the Locad warehouse plans the necessary resources to support the smooth inbound of your shipment. Please ensure that your ASN is submitted in accordance with the following requirements:
- Each shipment should only be submitted with only 1 ASN record.
- The consignment number must match the reference number indicated on your delivery receipt or the cartons so that the warehouse can identify which ASN that the physical shipment belongs to during receiving.
- ASN must be submitted and approved prior to dispatching out of your origin warehouse to ensure that the warehouse has catered resources for receiving the shipment.
- ASN must be submitted by 3pm, 5 business days prior to arrival for shipment that requires a loading bay or unloading value-added-service (VAS). Please inform your respective account manager so that we are aware of such requirement. If your shipment does not require them, ASN should be submitted by 3pm, 2 business days prior to arrival.
Shipment Preparation
Client must ensure that the shipment is packed based on the following guidelines:
- Each carton only contains 1 SKU.
- Each item physically labelled with the product barcode that matches the one indicated in the inventory product.
- The physical items must match the list of SKUs indicated in ASNs. The received quantity should not exceed more than 10% variance from the quantity indicated in the ASN.
- The delivery receipt or cartons must be labelled with the consignment number of the ASN.
Penalty may apply if the shipment does not conform to the guideline. Inbound SLA will also not apply to such cases.
ASN Approval
Once the ASN is submitted, Locad will approve by the following business day's 11:59pm if it is submitted before 3pm. Please take note that inbound slot availability is on a first come first serve basis. Shipments that failed to arrive on the planned date will be deprioritized over other clients’ shipments that are already planned for the particular day. If your ASN is rejected, please rebook it for another day. If you need assistance, you can reach out to your account manager for assistance.
Shipment Receiving
Client must ensure that the shipment is delivered to the designed inbound area in Locad Warehouse. To ensure accountability, please ensure your driver provides a delivery receipt so that Locad staff can sign as a confirmation of hand over of goods. A copy of the delivery receipt should be kept by Locad and you. Do take note that Locad can only verify the number of cartons or pallets received at this point. Piece counting will only happen later during the inbound QC.
If the loading bay is utilized, it must be vacated immediately after unloading so that the loading bay is available for other shipments. Any cost incurred for moving the container out of loading bay will be charged to the Client.
Inbound SLA
If the shipment arrives before the cutoff timing of 12pm, inbound will be completed within 2 business days for shipment with item quantity not exceeding 5,000. Estimated inbound lead time will be advised separately for non-standard shipment.
