The Order Edit feature in Locad’s Order Management System (OMS) allows Brands to take full control of their fulfillment process by providing the flexibility to pause or cancel order fulfillment at critical moments. This feature is designed to help Brands make necessary adjustments to orders, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

With the order edit feature, users can:
Edit Shipping/Billing Address: Modify the billing/shipping address of the order.
Update Marketplace Location per Order Item: Adjust the marketplace location of each order item.
Edit Shipment Type: Change the shipment type for the order. Ex. - Express, Same Day, Next Day etc
Edit Inventory Products and its Quantity per cSKU: Update the inventory product of the order items(cSKU) along with its quantity.
Control Fulfilment of Order Items: Manage and control the fulfilment of individual order items.
Note: Orders can only be paused/edited before they are picked.
Use Cases for the Order Edit Feature:
- Shipping/Billing Address Correction - Users can rectify address issues, such as incorrect zip codes or phone numbers, without needing to contact LOCAD support to release orders that are on hold due to these address discrepancies.
Once an order is paused, its fulfilment will be halted and will not proceed until it is manually released.
- Fulfilling Only Part of the Order - The user has the option to skip fulfilling part of the order by unchecking the “Require Fulfilment" option for specific order items.
- Cancelling Orders Without Cancelling it on the Marketplace - by unchecking the “Require Fulfillment" option for all order items in an order, we are basically cancelling the fulfilment order without cancelling it on the marketplace. Please refer to the walkthrough video above for detailed steps.
- Changing marketplace fulfilment location per Order Item - Allows the user to change the fulfilment location of the order items. (use with caution for marketplaces with non-LOCAD integrated carriers like TikTok, Lazada, Shopee, Zalora etc as the waybill address would also require address/location update)
Changing marketplace location is only applicable for marketplaces with multi-warehouse fulfilment enabled.
- Changing/adjusting the inventory Product/SKU & Quantity of the order items - Allows the user to change the inventory SKU/Product and quantity.
We can also change the shipment type (Standard, Express, Next Day, Same Day) using the 'Shipment Type' dropdown.
