The Locad Control Tower provides updates in real time so as orders move through our fulfillment center and in transit to your customer, you can see the latest status of the order.

Warehouse Status

The Warehouse Status defines where an order is at in the fulfillment journey. It also determines when certain actions can or can't be taken.



Below is every order status, what it means and any actions that can't be taken.


Warehouse StatusDefinition
UNPAIDThe order has been received and marked as not paid. Once the customer has made payment, the order status will update to released.
PREORDERThe order contains a product that is out of stock in our fulfillment center and pre order has been enabled for this product on your integrated store. 
SCHEDULED
The order is scheduled to be synced to the Locad Control Tower on a future date. (Only applicable for select clients).
ON_HOLDThe order is not able to be fulfilled by our team as there is an issue with the order. View this article on how to troubleshoot these orders.
RELEASED / NEW
The order has passed our initial checks to be fulfilled and released to our fulfillment center team.
PARTIAL
The order contains 1 or more products that are out of stock and pre order has not been enabled on your integrated store.
READY_FOR_PICKING
The order is waiting to be assigned to a picker to collect the products from storage.
PICKING
The order has been assigned to a picker who is currently collecting the products from the storage locations.
PICKED
The products for the order have been picked from their storage locations and are currently waiting to be packed. Order amendments and cancellations are no longer possible.
PACKED
The order has been packed into suitable packaging for shipping.
READY_FOR_DISPATCH
The order is now ready for handover to the carrier and the carrier will be arriving shortly to collect the order.
IN_TRANSIT
The order is now in transit to the customer. You can refer to the Last Mile status or carrier tracking page for more granular updates.
COMPLETED
The order has been marked as delivered by the carrier.
RETURN_IN_PROGRESS
The delivery of this order has failed and will be returning to the sender.
PUTAWAY
The products for this order are scheduled to be put back into storage.
RETURN_COMPLETED
The products for this order have now been put away to storage.
CANCELLED
The order has been marked as cancelled by the integrated store it was synced from.
LOSTThe order has been marked as Lost by the carrier handling the delivery of the order.


Our platform can only recognise pre-orders from Shopify and WooCommerce as these stores allow us to sync the current inventory on hand without affecting pre order inventory.


Marketplace Status


In addition you have Marketplace Status which is the current status of the order on the integrated store. Here is a list of common marketplaces statuses and the corresponding warehouse status.

Last Mile Status

When your order is shipped using one of Locad's integrated carriers, we will show a corresponding Last Mile status to indicate the current status of the order with the carrier.

Here are the current last mile status and their definition:

PICKUP_CANCELLED
The scheduled pickup from the sender was cancelled.
PICKUP_PENDING
The carrier is scheduled to pickup this order from the sender.
PICKUP_FAILED
The pickup attempt by the carrier has failed / is unsuccessful.
PACKAGE_PICKED
The carrier has successfully picked up the order.
ENROUTE_TO_SORTCENTER
The order is on the way to the Sortation Center (first destination post-pickup where parcels picked up are sorted by area)
ARRIVED_AT_SORTCENTER
The order arrived at the Sortation Center.
ENROUTE_TO_CONSOLHUB
The order is on the way to mid mile Consolidation Hub.
ARRIVED_AT_CONSOLHUB
The order arrived at the Consolidation Center
ENROUTE_TO_DELHUB
The order is on the way to the Delivery Hub (final hub).
ARRIVED_AT_DELHUB
The order arrived at the Delivery Hub.
OUT_FOR_DELIVERY
The order will be attempted for delivery within the day.
DEL_ATTEMPT_FAILURE
The carrier attempted to delivery of the order but was unsuccessful.
RESCHEDULE_DELIVERY
The order is scheduled for another delivery attempt.
DELIVERED
The order is delivered successfully.
RETURN_TRIGGERED
The order is identified as for return to sender.
ARRIVED_AT_RETURN_HUB
The order arrived at the Return hub.
OUT_FOR_RETURN
The order will be attempted for return within the day.
RETURN_ATTEMPT_FAILURE
The order return attempt to the sender is unsuccessful.
RETURN_RESCHEDULE_DELIVERY
The order is scheduled for another return attempt to the sender.
RETURNED
The order is successfully returned to the sender.
LOST
The carrier marked the order as lost.


The Last Mile status is only populated for orders that are shipped with Locad's integrated carriers.
