Brands have the option to amend existing inventory details such as cost price, image URL, or to add a buffer to certain SKUs in the LOCAD Dashboard.

Important Note: You CANNOT change the SKU code of an item.

To start editing SKU, login to the LOCAD Control Tower and on the left hand column, click “Inbound“ then “Inbound Requests”.

Select the header “Update SKUs” and Click “Download Sample Template”. This will download a copy of the SKU Update Template to use when you need to amend SKU details on the LOCAD Dashboard.

Enter each SKU that you will be updating and only populate the fields that will be changed. Any field that should not be changed needs to be left blank otherwise this field will be amended too. You can also use this same template file for future uploads so you do not need to keep downloading it.

Save the file as an Excel Workbook and ensure the Filename does not contain spaces or special characters. Once successfully saved, go back to the ‘Update SKUs” tab on the dashboard and drop the saved template and click ‘Submit’.

Uploaded SKU Update files will show under the SKU Uploads section of the Inbound Requests page.

a. If the upload is successful, the status will show SUCCESS.

b. If the upload was unsuccessful, the status will show FAILED. An error file will be available by clicking on the download icon under the Error File column. Open the downloaded file to check the reason for the error.

You can open the original file, amend the error, save and then upload again. Any upload that contains an error will prevent all the remaining SKUS from being updated. Once successful, you will now be able to see the changes on the Inventory Detail page of the item.
